RS Kart

After months of waiting, the RS Kart team are ecstatic to be taking part in the VKC Club race at the Vaal Kart Circuit this weekend. (8 August 2020)

Luke Hill will lead the charge in Mini Rok and will be hunting down a podium finish. Although this will be the youngsters first race since February, he has been putting in tons of practice time over the last few weeks and is ready to compete!

A new addition to the team is Caleb Cotterell. Caleb competed in a few Micro Max races last season, finishing consistently in the top ten at National level. He will be racing alongside Luke in Mini Rok and with the right package and support, Caleb will undoubtedly be capable of podiums.

The “senior” of the team, Carlo Olivier is raring to go and ready to take on the KZ2 field. Carlo has been putting in the work behind the scenes, practicing at every possible opportunity. He will be looking to take home some silverware on Saturday.

Although it is just a small entry competing this weekend, the team continues to grow in strength and confidence. The event will provide some much needed positivity in what has been a very trying year for the motorsport industry, and the world, as a whole.

RS Kart South Africa dedicate the weekend to the memory of the those lost to Covid 19 and hopes that some sense of normalcy brings comfort in the knowledge that there is light at the end of this despair.
